"CRUX PITCH," in climbing terms, means the hardest pitch -- or section -- of a climb. On multipitch routes, the grade of the climb is determined by the hardest pitch -- and that's your crux!
For me, It's a metaphor to the ups and downs of life -- because as soon as you send the crux, everything else after that begins to seem so easy!
